A new round of shockvertising has been launched in QLD, Australia. A real estate agent strips down to his underwear to demonstrate how “hot” this property is. While it is very cleverly done, and certainly has got some traction virally (72,000 views as of 3rd of Oct 2012), I question the longer term viability of this tactic.

When people are buying a home it is usually their single largest investment, what they are seeking is TRUST. This is usually composed of Competence and Integrity, what we see here (watch the video below) is wit & humour - great for selling low priced consumables and phone plans - not so applicable for large investments like someones home.
